ABSTRACT

A new approach to post-surgical pain management: Cold application to LI4 acupressure point every year, millions of individuals undergo surgical intervention for various reasons. Postoperative pain, which is one of the expected and possible complications of surgical intervention, affects the healing rate of individuals in this process, increases the hospital stay and may cause other different complications. Various pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic methods are applied for surgical pain, which can be controlled with early intervention. In recent years, there has been an increase in the use of nonpharmacologic treatment methods and more research is being conducted to prove their effectiveness. In this article; it is aimed to include current information about the effect of cold application to the LI4 acupressure point on postoperative pain.
