ABSTRACT

Accreditation in dental education and dentistry is relatively new both globally and in Turkey when compared to accreditation processes in hospitals. Devising performance criteria, and testing and implementing these criteria pose many diverse difficulties. All institutions providing services in dental care should adopt a strategy to raise awareness on this issue to increase the quality of the services.
