ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to share experiences and evaluate the results of using case-based learning method in Surgical Nursing Clinical Practice Training conducted with distance education during the COVID19 process. This retrospective and descriptive study was conducted with second year student attending the Surgical Diseases Nursing course. In the distance education method, two cases were presented to the students and they were asked to prepare a care plan based on these cases. It was determined that the students' success grades and satisfaction in the case-based learning method application carried out with distance education were high. According to the results of this study, it is recommended to use the case-based learning method in the practice of surgical diseases nursing in the distance education process and to use it as a supporter of the education in face-to-face education.
