ABSTRACT
The use of artificial intelligence technology in the perinatal period includes the provision of care services that a woman may need during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. The main purpose of the artificial intelligence technology used in this period is to improve maternal and fetal health by protecting it, to improve the quality of life and thus to reduce perinatal morbidity and mortality rates. The artificial intelligence technology used for these purposes includes pregnancy follow-up, continuous monitoring of maternal and fetal health, early diagnosis and treatment of possible diseases that may occur in both the mother and fetus during the perinatal period, and postpartum follow-up processes. In this study, it is aimed to give current information about the use of artificial intelligence technology in the care practices offered in the perinatal period, application examples and ethical problems that may arise during the integration of artificial intelligence technology into the service.
