ABSTRACT
The beginning of standardization in the field of health, especially medical education, followed by health care services, goes to the beginning of the 1900s in the world. Established in countries such as Canada and Australia, after in USA, the structures have started to work in the quality and safety of health care services at the minimum level and then defining the achievable standards. As a result of surveys carried out by independent external surveyors, the accreditation systems of the health institutions are now a recognized systems in the world. ISQua, the international framework for the coordination and development of these systems, has begun to work in 1985 as an extension of the work that began in the 1900s and as a result. Turkish Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute, founded under TÜSEB in 2014, studies with the principle of international norms and rules, carried out the ISQua membership in this context and aims to contribute to the work to be carried out in the world of health service quality and accreditation field.
