ABSTRACT
Individuals/institutions/organizations providing health tourism services should act in compliance with the principles and standards legally based. The purpose of Intermediary Institution Service Standards (IISS) is to ensure a standardized, transparent, observable and controllable system on the legal status, definition and service area of intermediary institutions which provide services to international patients; improve, develop and maintain the service and management quality in the health tourism and regulate rules and procedures on the implementation of the principles for the risk deduction on service providing. Thus, it would be possible to close the service quality gap between our certified/accredited intermediary institutions and health service providers (country where diagnosis/treatment is made) and the patient’s country (country of origin)
