Developments in information technologies and software developed for the field, which are frequently used in health institutions, provide convenience in realizing safety, efficiency, speed and quality increases in the provision of health services. In this study; The efficiency of the results obtained by identifying and improving data entry deficiencies in the emergency department was evaluatedA total of 257,577 files of the patient files registered in the emergency department are medicines, materials, procedures, physician names, the way the patient reaches the hospital, the registration type (forensic case, non-forensic patient), the duration of the hospital stay, the requested consultations; Examined retrospectively on the Hospital Information Management System (HBYS).. Its was found that there were an average of 244,296 drug uses per month, of which 312 (%1,28) were entered incomplete, an average of 22.353 consumables were used per month, and 699 (%3,12) of them were entered incomplete. The average observation time of 1644 minutes was reduced to 184 minutes with accurate records. The number of incoming referrals, which averaged 216,6 for 6 months, increaed by 16,3% to 258,8. Results provided gains in more than one efficiency topic.
