ABSTRACT
The aim is to determine the level of knowledge about standards of Health Care Quality Standards-Hospital (Version 5) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of health workers working in newborn intensive care unit. The universe of the study constitutes a total of 73 nurses and doctors working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Diyarbakır Maternity and Children’s Hospital. Our research is a descriptive study in the relational screening model. To obtain the data, a question set created by the researcher and based on Health Quality Standards-Hospital (Version 5) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Standards was used. Cronbach's alpha value was used in the internal consistency analysis of the questionnaire. Mann-Whitney test and Kruskal Wallis test were used for nonparametric tests in the SPSS 16.0 program. The results were evaluated in a 95% confidence interval and a significance level of p< 0.05. According to the results of this study, the level of knowledge about the standards of the Healthy Quality Standards (HQS) -Hospital (Version-5) Newborn Intensive Care Unit of employees was high (mean= 3.39 ± 0.38), the level of knowledge about the employees standards of neonatal intensive care unit X2= 15.483, p= 0.008 (p< 0.05) in which there was a significant difference.
